Holidays means crafty goodness

I'm on four weeks holidays now - at the end of my first week. I've got stacks of things planned. Here's hoping I get them done!

1. Knit: Chunky red scarf
2. Knit and Crochet: Bag for the KAL-CAL
3. Knit: beanie
4. Crochet: dragon for SIL
5. Crochet: Vintage cardigan CAL
6. Knit: learn how to knit socks
7. Scrapbook: do lots on our honeymoon album
8. Scrapbook: do up two more wedding canvases
9. Papercraft: experiment with making paper beads from origami paper
10. Papercraft: make 5 cards
11. Sewing: make two cushion covers
12. Sewing: make up a skirt with my new skirt pattern

Lots to get done and in between all that I need to do a Doctrine essay and keep up with my Hebrew. :)

Baby It's Cold Outside

It's raining babies at MooreWest so I've been trying out some baby stuff to give as presents.

When I told my dad the other day I'd learnt how to knit the first thing he said was, 'You'd better not be pregnant.' You've gotta love ya dad. :)

This cute little coat is from Crochet Me.

It's disgustingly simple - just hdcs the whole way round and it's done in one piece from the back down one side and plug in a chain on the other side to start of the front bit on the other side. Geez - that made no sense, did it???

I'm famous! Nah, not really.

My first scrapbooking publication in Scrapbook Creations should come out in a week or two. Yay! And the digi LO below I did in response to Marly's tag was accepted by Scrapbooking Memories! :) Sweet! Another $20! :)

I'm yet to see any of the money I get from getting published as you get accepted a good three months or so before the magazines actually come out.

I'm loving doing the digi thing because I don't have to mail a huge package to the magazines and have that cost eat away my pay. I just email it in! :)

"Summer" CAL with Marly and the gang

Check this out!!

I've signed up and now I'm off to think and plan my bags. I'd love to make crocheted and knit bags. I'm planning on a few totes and a messenger bag. I've got so many little handbags and purses that are completely impractical but oh, so pretty. I'm wanting some more functional bags now.

7 Random Things about Me!

Marly tagged me and I'm responding with a digi LO with my 7 random things but I'm going to be naughty and not tag anyone else. I don't actually know many other people with a blog - I mean 'know' them. There are heaps and heaps that I read but maybe 2(?) of people that I actually know in real life.

Flat screen monitor!

I want this blog to be about my craft but this made my day! I got Nathan a flat screen for his birthday and he's over the moon. He was moaning about how expensive they were and how we could never afford one and how his CRT monitor just decided that it didn't really need the colour blue so everything on his screen showed up red instead. Lovely. So I went off to trawl the internet.

What did I find but the best bargain on a 19" flat screen in the world! It was only $228 from Dell and that included the $50 shipping. Am I a bargain shopper or what?!

Little does he know he has at least three other presents coming his way! :)

The photo shows his tablet PC next to his new monitor. Nathan always works with two monitors - that would drive me crazy but it works for him. Just love the guy.
